Shipping Associate

Position: Shipping Associate
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Duration: Contract
Hours: Mon-Fri 9 am – 5:30 pm

Description
 The Shipper is responsible for accurately picking ready ship, non-conveyable, and pick-pack customer orders. These include general Sales, Configurations, Customer Owned Inventory, and Buy and Hold orders.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality control by accurately picking products for outbound shipments by following a paper pick, RF scanner, or voice-picking device (WDC only).
  • Check products to ensure no visible damage before shipping.
  • Report damaged packages, labeling issues, or operational concerns to management.
  • Prioritize shipments according to shipping service levels.
  • Utilize AS400 menus when applicable.
  • Keep conveyors and sensors clear of obstructions to maintain continuous conveyor flow.
  • Use a pallet jack to transport pallets of materials or products.
  • Adhere to preferred methods and safety guidelines.
  • Rotate through various departmental tasks, including housekeeping.
  • Support other areas of operations as needed.
  • Help attain department goals.
Required Qualification:
  • Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational, counting, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in any combination at any given time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (team-lift for anything above 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, and noise from conveyors and forklifts.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior warehouse experience.
